A young architect who is struggling to find work, Angèle feels as though she was born too late. She comes from a family of militants, but her mother abandoned her political battle overnight, moving into the countryside. Only her former Maoist father, with whom she returns to live, has remained faithful to his ideals. Angry and determined, Angèle endeavours both to try to change the world and avoid amorous encounters.
