Lucio Fulci (1927-1996)
Ancien critique devenu artisan prolifique, il transcende le giallo dans les années 1970 avec une série de films marquants (Le Venin de la peur, La Longue nuit de l’exorcisme, L’emmurée vivante). Il s’oriente ensuite vers un cinéma horrifique extrême, contribuant à définir le gore avec sa « trilogie des enfers », dont Frayeurs et L’Au-delà. Son style macabre est à son apogée avec L’Enfer des zombies.
Lucio Fulci (1927-1996)
A former film critic turned prolific filmmaker, he took the giallo genre to new heights in the 1970s with a series of landmark films (A Lizard in a Woman's Skin, Don't Torture a Duckling, The Psychic). He then turned his hand to extreme horror cinema, helping to define the gore genre with his ‘trilogy of hell’, including City of the Living Dead and The Beyond. His macabre style reached its peak with Zombi 2.
