Paolo Cavara (1926-1982)
Il débute dans le faux documentaire, coréalisant notamment Mondo cane (1962), œuvre scandaleuse qui inaugure le genre Mondo. Il aborde ensuite la fiction avec La Cible dans l’œil (1967), qui dénonce le sensationnalisme de ses précédents films. Avec La Tarentule au ventre noir ou E tanta paura (1976), il explore le Giallo tout en portant un regard désabusé sur son époque.
Paolo Cavara (1926-1982)
He began his career in mockumentaries, co-directing notably Mondo cane (1962), a scandalous film that launched the mondo genre. He then turned to fiction with The Wild Eye (1967), which criticised the sensationalism of his earlier films. With Black Belly of the Tarantula or E tanta paura (1976), he explored the giallo genre whilst casting a disillusioned eye on his era.
