1939. A climate of fear, suspicion and denunciation reigns over Madrid after the capture of the city by the Nationalists. Many Socialist and Communist militants have been arrested. Among them are thirteen young women wrongly accused of complicity in an attack on a military commander and his family. They will be condemned to death in an unfair trial.
