In Stockholm, Commissioner Nyman is murdered in his hospital room. Inspector Beck and his colleague, Rönn, lead the investigation. Little by little, they uncover the brutal methods employed by the murdered police officer and come to suspect that the guilty party must be one of their own. But who could have resented him to such an extent?
