On 22 July 2011, at 3.26pm, a bomb explodes in the very centre of Oslo. At the same time, on the island of Utoya, 19-year-old Kaja who is taking part in a gathering of young members of the Workers' Youth League reassures her mother on the telephone. They are safe. Yet shots suddenly ring out. Followed by more. From that moment onwards, the camera follows Kaja as she tries to find her sister amidst indescribable chaos, in which life hangs by a thread.
