In 1921, the young Lady Constance Chatterley languishes in a despondent relationship with her husband who has returned from the War impotent. Confined inside her husband's mansion, she falls into a slow decline until her doctor recommends she take some fresh air. As she explores the family estate, she meets the gamekeeper, Parkin, a rough and solitary man who soon becomes her lover.
