SYNOPSIS

D’un bidonville de Nanterre jusqu’au Théâtre du Châtelet, Malika Bellaribi poursuit envers et contre tout son rêve de devenir chanteuse lyrique. Malgré un accident, les discriminations et un drame intime, elle deviendra celle qu’on appelle « la diva des banlieues ». Un portrait vibrant et lumineux d’une jeune femme qui trouve dans la musique la force de conquérir sa liberté.

SYNOPSIS

From a shantytown in Nanterre to the stage of the Théâtre du Châtelet, Malika Bellaribi pursues her dream of becoming an opera singer against all odds. Despite an accident, discrimination and a personal tragedy, she becomes known as the “diva of the suburbs”. A vibrant and luminous portrait of a young woman who finds in music the strength to claim her freedom.
