Synopsis
Poland, 1945. War is raging between the communists and nationalists. Young but hardened by the armed struggle, Maciek receives an order that leads him to make a terrible mistake. A great baroque film, one that goes against the flow and is regarded by Scorsese and Coppola as one of the greatest films of all time.
