Besnik is a Muslim shepherd from a multi-faith family. Haunted by a disappointment in love, he lives alone with his sick father in an isolated mountain village where Christians and Muslims live peaceably together, until a crack appears in the mosque wall indicating that it was once a church. So Besnik suggests that the building should be used as a place of worship for both faiths, an opinion not shared by all.
