Étienne, an actor going through a hard time, agrees to run a theatre course in prison. Surprised by the acting talents of the inmates, he comes up with the idea of staging a play with them, Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. A wonderful human adventure ensues. An optimistic, warm and very funny fable, which deftly avoids all the pitfalls inherent in this type of tale.
Born in 1957. He wrote a number of film scripts, including, in collaboration with Philippe Lioret (Mademoiselle, The Light, Welcome and All Our Desires). In 2013 he directs the short film Géraldine je t’aime, then his first feature film, Ceasefire, which was presented in Arras Film Festival in 2016. The Big Hit is his second feature film.
