Neneh, a 12-year-old Black girl, dreams of becoming a ballerina. Her talent earns her a place at the prestigious Opéra de Paris ballet school, but she comes up against the prejudices of her classmates, her teachers and in particular the ballet school director who is a firm upholder of traditions.
