Since the divorce of her parents, 9-year-old Mathilde lives with her mother, a fragile and unpredictable person. Every evening, she comes back from school to look after her. But, often, she is not there and Mathilde leads a solitary existence awaiting her return. So she makes yet another attempt to help her get back on her feet.
