THE END OF ST. PETERSBURG

On the eve of the First World War, a young Russian peasant migrates to Saint Petersburg to escape the poverty of the countryside. He is hired at a factory as a strike breaker. Gradually, he comes to understand the role he is being required to play. Mobilised, the War opens his eyes. He returns to the capital to take part in the events of Red October.
